We are an impact investment management company that manages the Hivos Food & Lifestye Fund. We invest in food entrepreneurs in Southern Africa. We focus on South Africa, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We believe in regional markets and invest solely in local entrepreneurs. We are looking for companies that need equity to scale their business on both finance and impact. We invest from farm-to-fork, to provide people with healthy food, and help to produce food in a sustainable way. We have the following investment objectives: • Promote local economic growth and better and more inclusive jobs. • Have deep impact on diversified diets and health, and by preventing soil degradation and food loss • Make a healthy financial return to reward the risk our investors take Our team combines over 40 years of entrepreneurial and investment experience. We combine this with over 40 years of local presence in Africa of our cornerstone investor; Hivos Foundation. Our dealflow pipeline has over € 2 million in investable deals.
